Delivery delays are possible

  • USA*
*Impacts of Hurricane Helene in the Southeastern United States as of 9/27/2024:
Please see notices from the three major delivery carriers we use in the US. Most certainly we will expect major delays in the southeast due to Hurricane Helene.

    USPS:
Hurricane Helene, flooding, and severe weather events in the Southeastern U.S. (FL, GA, SC, NC, AL, TN, KY, and VA) may impact the processing, transportation, and delivery of mail and packages. Please allow additional time for final delivery of your item.

    FedEx:
Search or download affected cities, states and ZIP codes. Please continue to check this page for updates as the storm progresses.

For specific shipment status information, please track your shipment at fedex.com. Residential recipients can enroll in FedEx Delivery Manager to stay informed of their shipment’s progress.

    UPS:
UPS services in the southern part of the U.S., specifically Florida, may be impacted by Hurricane Helene. While UPS facilities are providing pickup and delivery services as conditions permit, some delays are possible.

We will work to ensure the safety of our employees while minimizing effects on service. Contingency plans are in place to help ensure that shipments arrive at their final destinations as quickly as possible.

Note that the UPS Service Guarantee does not apply to shipments affected by this weather event.

For the  following countries we cannot offer a full delivery service via our usual supplier, due to DDU Incoterm, which prevents us from handling custom service.

  • Armenia

  • Moldavian
  • Kazakhstan
  • Azerbaijan
  • Nepal

Due to the pandemic situation, a shortage of truck drivers, congestion at the ports and escalating transportation costs there has been a disruption in the paper supply for Springer Nature and many other publishing companies. Currently mainly our printers in Americas are affected by those disruptions, which can lead to an delay in the delivery times.

Suspended service due to international sanctions

Due to the escalating conflict in Ukraine and airspace restrictions, we have been advised by our logistics partners that they will be suspending collection and delivery services in/into Ukraine, whilst international shipments to addresses in Russia and Belarus have also been suspended.

Shipping to Packstations (only for customers in Germany)

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to deliver to DHL Packstations ('DHL Packstationen'). We ask for your understanding and hope that we will be able to offer this delivery option in the future.

Shipping confirmations

Springer Nature is now able to supply shipping and tracking information for a number of book products from our warehouse for titles outside of the Americas and APAC regions.  This service will slowly widen out to more products in the coming months.  If shipment has been sent and a tracking number is available you will receive an email which contains a link that will allow you to see the relevant distribution partners tracking service for your order.

Please note that these time frames are only average delivery times and may take longer. If you miss a delivery and the standard delivery time is over, please contact us.
