BMC journals: After acceptance

Within a few days of Editorial acceptance, a PDF version of the article will be made available to the authors for proof checking. After marked-up errors have been corrected, a final PDF is created for publication.

Additionally, you will be asked to:

  • Confirm your affiliation (institution or university).
  • Establish whether an article processing charge (APC) is covered by an agreement from your institution.
  • Arrange payment for associated publication costs.

The time lag between acceptance and the publication of the final version depends on how quickly authors provide their corrections, but is normally around three weeks.
